Company History

The Gambone Group currently consists of over one hundred separate entities engaged in all types of commercial real estate ownership and development.  Among our primary focuses are single family and multi family residential developments, retail projects and industrial/flex projects.

Founded in 1958, The Gambone Group has been a leader in the building industry for over forty years. The three original owners began as carpenters pooling their talents in demolition, excavation, masonry, and concrete to form Gambone Brothers Construction Company.

The profits from the owners’ early construction activities were used to acquire land for housing developments and apartments. By the late 1960’s, entities within The Gambone Group had developed hundreds of houses and owned close to 1000 apartments. The first commercial construction began with Zern’s Market in 1967.

Throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s, The Gambone Group grew into a full service development company building quality construction industrial, office, rental and residential structures in the Northern Philadelphia suburbs. The next 16 years saw dramatic growth in The Gambone Group’s Commercial Division with the addition of 6 major retail centers, 7 major industrial parks and 4 major office buildings.

The Gambone Group’s Commercial Division has developed over 3 million square feet of office, retail and warehouse properties for Fortune 500 Companies, including Merck, Wyeth, Ayerst, PH-Ohio Corporation and UTI Corporation.

Headquartered in East Norriton Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, The Gambone Group is best known for its tradition of quality throughout each of its residential communities. Its homes are designed for the way families live today. Open, spacious floor plans include a wealth of standard features and quality and craftsmanship is evident in every Gambone home, whatever the price. To date, entities within The Gambone Group have developed and built over 10,000 new homes throughout the Philadelphia Metropolitan Region.
